Petmate's Fresh Flow water dishes provide your cat or dog with a constant supply of fresh water. These automatic water dishes use an internal motor to constantly circulate water. Although some pets might need a bit of an adjustment period to switch over to this product, the health benefits for your pet are worth the changeover. The Fresh Flow will stop your dog from drinking out of the toilet and prevent the cat from having to drink stale, warm water.
Instructions
1. Remove the reservoir from the back of the Fresh Flow and fill it with fresh water. Replace the storage reservoir and close the compartment.
2. Plug the Fresh Flow into a wall outlet and the device should start running. It is normal if the device makes a slight humming noise. The water should flow out like a small waterfall.
3. Place the device next your cat or dog's normal water dish. Depending on the animal's age, temperament and breed, it might take them a little while to become accustomed to the humming noise and sounds of water. Eventually they will become used to the machine and you can remove their standard water dish.
4. Refill the storage reservoir when it becomes empty. If the device starts making loud suction noises or gurgling sounds, you know it is time to refill the device.
5. Check the charcoal water filter after 30 days of use to make sure it is not clogged. The filter should be replaced every 60 to 90 days.
6. Clean the plastic bowl and parts by removing them and cleaning them with water and regular dish soap. Do not place them in the dishwasher or they could melt.
