It happens to the best of us: we get to a hole in our round and reach into our golf bag for a particular club, only to realize it's not there. Maybe it was left at home after a bit of practice. Maybe (as is common), it was left next to the green of a previous hole, forgotten after that putt was finally sunk. Below are some tips and strategies for getting that lost club back in your bag, where it belongs.
Instructions
1. Think back to where you last used the club. There is a good chance that you left it on a previous hole. Carefully drive back along the course and ask the golfers following you if they happened to come across it.
2. Report the lost club to the course staff. Golfers are generally an honest bunch and will turn a club in at the clubhouse if they happen to find it along the course. Give the staff a description of the club, along with your name and phone number.
3. Check all of your regular practice areas around your home. Make sure you didn't leave the club outside somewhere while you were practicing your chips in the yard. Check the area where you store your clubs. The missing club may not have made it back in your bag after you last cleaned your set.
4. Call the ranges that you visit regularly and ask them if anyone has turned in the club. Check back with any clubhouse where you think you may have lost the club. Visit and go through their lost and found.
5. If you simply cannot find the missing club, visit golfhelp.com, which features links to sites where you can order single clubs.
