Bulldog Craft Ideas

Take humorous photos of your bulldog to use in craft projects.

The large, boxy head, sagging jowls, medium build and short hair are some of the bulldog's physical characteristics, a dog originally bred in Britain to help bait bulls. Originally a ferocious dog species, breeders eventually sought to create a dog with a more even temperament, which resulted in the family-friendly bulldog of today. Create bulldog crafts to celebrate your favorite pooch, such as apparel and paper crafts.

Apparel and Accessories Crafts

Apparel craft ideas featuring bulldogs include sweaters that feature bulldog images in the stitching, or T-shirts that feature iron-on bulldog decals. T-shirts can feature one large bulldog decal only or a variety of smaller iron-on images, while bulldog sweater ideas can include stitchings of a bulldog's face only, or entire body images. Accessory ideas featuring bulldogs include plastic "shrinky dink" bulldogs to make pendents or using assorted bulldog charms made from different materials to feature on a charm bracelet.

Paper Crafts

Paper bulldog craft ideas include paper masks, which can be made either with printouts of bulldog faces or your own drawings and paintings. Images should be attached to or painted on thick paper, such as card stock, with wooden craft sticks as mask handles. Food coloring is another resource for paper bulldog crafts; those with bulldogs for pets can press their dog's paws into a small container of food coloring and have the dog walk over white paper to make frame-able "dog signatures."

Clay Crafts

Polymer clay works for creating assorted clay bulldog figurines. Bulldogs can be sculpted in various positions, such as a "begging" bulldog, sleeping bulldog, running bulldog, or walking bulldog. The figurines can be used as standalone crafts or incorporated into dioramas that feature bulldogs or a variety of dogs. Large clay sculptures of bulldogs are one option, or use smaller bulldog clay figurines as pencil toppers or as decorations to be placed among your plants.

Art Crafts

Bulldog art ideas include your own artistic renditions of bulldogs at play or at rest, which you can make using any art materials you want, including paints, markers, crayons, pencils, colored pencils, pens and charcoal. Photographs of friends with their bulldogs can serve as your inspiration, or try to copy the photo using paints or colored pencils. Drawings of bulldogs as well as bulldog photos can be thrown together in collage format as notebook covers, frame-able artwork, or as other surface decoration, such as for paper boxes.
