Cheats And Lift Trainer Points For "Nintendogs Lab & Buddies" For That Ds

Trainer points in "Nintendogs: Lab & Friends" let you unlock special items and new dog breeds in the game's kennel. While trainer points are usually hard to get, you have a few ways to quickly raise your trainer points, granting you access to more of what the game has to offer.

Playing Catch

While the method takes patience and time, you can potentially receive infinite trainer points by playing catch with your dog. Throw the ball and have the dog retrieve it. When he comes back to you, pet him on the head until you see sparkling to get trainer points. You can do this over and over to get as many trainer points as you want.

Brushing Your Dog

Navigate to the screen where you brush and wash your dog, but do not wash him. Instead, opt to brush him and place the brush on the center of his back or belly. Every minute the brush remains on the dog, you receive one trainer point. Plug your Nintendo DS in and leave it on with the brush on your dog while you go do something else. You'll continue getting a point every minute for as long as you do this but only if the Nintendo DS doesn't go into sleep mode, so ensure it's plugged in and charging.

Action Replay Cheat

If you own an Action Replay DS cheating device, you can use the code to get maximum trainer points. With your Action Replay and "Nintendogs: Lab & Friends" inserted, you may see a pre-inserted code for "Max Trainer Points." If not, go to the code entry screen and enter "021a28c0 0001869f" into your Action Replay. This is the quickest and easiest method to quickly get trainer points, as you don't have to wait while you get them one by one.

Unlockable Dog Breeds

Having a certain number of trainer points unlocks various dog breeds within the game's kennel. If you have 2,000, you'll unlock the Pug; 4,000 unlocks the German Shepherd; 8,000 unlocks the Shih Tzu.; 10,000 unlocks the Boxer; 14,000 unlocks the Beagle; 20,000 trainer points unlocks the Golden Retriever; 30,000 unlocks the Husky; 35,000 unlocks the Yorkshire Terrier; 45,000 unlocks the Dachshund; and 50,000 unlocks the Chihuahua.

Unlockable Items

Aside from new breeds, various home renovations and interior decorations also get unlocked through collection of trainer points. You unlock the "Desktop" with 6,000 trainer points. With 12,000, you unlock the "Seaside" decorations, and 18,000 trainer points unlocks the "Outer Space" decorations. Unlock the "Ranch House" in the game's "Interior Decorator" mode with 25,000, and 40,000 unlocks the "Northern European" house renovation.
