RemyLine-certified Pit Bulls can enter competitions.
RemyLine certification (RLC) goes to dogs descended from the Remy Martin bloodline. Only dogs with this certification earn eligibility to compete in RLC competitions and shows. The Remy Martin pedigree is known for having a lots of muscle, great temperament, a large head and a well-defined chest. Your dog must meet certain standards, and you must know your dog's ancestry. RemyLine certification is only given to dogs that are within four generations of Remy Martin.
Instructions
1. Ask the breeder if their administration registered the pit bull litter. If they have, request an application. If not, print out the online form found at the Official RemyLine Certified Web site.
2. Make sure your American Pit Bull Terrier meets the requirements for RemyLine certification. The fur needs to short and shiny without any kinks or curls, any color is acceptable. Males stand between 17 and 19 inches at the shoulders and weigh 70 to 85 pounds. Females stand between 16 and 18 inches and weigh 55 to 70 pounds. The head and neck are large with prominent muscle tone. A deep chest, visible rib cages and tapered stomach form the bulk of the body. A straight tail is essential, curled or docked tails are unacceptable.
3. Fill out the entire first section of the application. Write the full name of the dog and include the dog's gender. Complete his date of birth, as well as your contact information including email. Make sure you've spelled everything correct and that it is legible. Sign the application form.
4. If the breeder filled out the section titled "Litter Information," make sure the information matches what you've been told. If there are any discrepancies, call the breeder for clarification.
5. Write a check payable to RemyLine Certified or supply your credit or debit card information. Make sure you include the 3-digit CVV2 security code shown on the back of your credit or debit card on the right side in the signature box. Credit or debit payments cannot be processed without this 3-digit security code. If you need the certificate in a hurry, be sure to add in the amounts for rush processing and next day air service.
6. Mail your form and payment to the address at the bottom of the application. If you prefer to fax the application, you must use a debit or credit card. The fax number is (562) 218-7606.
