While a vital component of the human existence by acting as pollinators for crops and providers of sustenance with honey, bees at times can be dangerous pests that need to be eradicated. Fortunately their relatively docile manner makes it easy to kill honey bees using Sevin dust insecticide. By taking advantage of bees' behavior and natural daily cycle of life, you can kill an entire bee colony easily and without being stung. Poison dust efficiently and rapidly kills bees by clinging to all bees in the vicinity as the fine particles flow deep into cracks and crevices where hives are located.
Instructions
1. Don a bee-proof outfit to avoid being stung. Dress in a long sleeve t-shirt and pants with tennis shoes or boots. Wrap the duct tape around the hems of the pants and your shoes or boots. Wrap several times around the ankle area to create a seal that bees will not be able to get under. Tuck the long-sleeve shirt into the pants. Put on a jacket. Put on the gloves and tape around the wrists with duct tape to create a bee-proof seal at your sleeves as well. Wear the respirator over your mouth and nose. Drape the square of insect netting over your head and put on the hat to hold the net in place. Stuff the ends of the netting under your jacket collar but outside the t-shirt collar.
2. Approach the beehive in the early morning hours of dawn, when the temperature is cool and therefore the bees are less active and able to attack. The warmer the temperature, the more active the bees will be and the more likely they will swarm out of the hive in an aggressive manner.
3. Spray the Sevin dust rapidly into the hive entrance or where you see the bees flying in and out. Spray as much as possible and keep administering the poison dust as long as possible. Inject the dust into each hole where you see bees, focusing on the most active and largest holes.
4. Spray the foam sealant into the hive entrance and secondary access holes immediately after administering the Sevin dust. Create a barrier with the foam to seal the bees inside and prevent them from escaping.
5. Spray a layer of Sevin dust on the outside of the beehive, and on the foam filler and area around the hive entrance. Coating the outside material where the beehive is located will help kill any bees outside the hive and discourage future bee activity.
