Mix Concrete For Any Dog Kennel

Mix Concrete for a Dog Kennel

Concrete is an essential item for many construction projects. Dog kennels require solid, easily cleanable flooring, making concrete an ideal choice. Mixing concrete for a dog kennel requires just a few tools and can be accomplished in a short period of time.

Instructions

1. Measure the kennel area. Concrete is poured according to size and an accurate measurement is necessary.

2. Place the dry concrete in your wheelbarrow and slowly add water. Concrete needs to be about the consistency of cake batter, so add enough water for the proper texture.

3. Mix in the small gravel. The gravel will add traction to the kennel floor to avoid slips by the dogs.

4. Pour the concrete into the kennel floor frame. Spread it evenly and mix more concrete if necessary to make an even floor.

5. Smooth the concrete using the smoothing tools. A flat kennel surface is important to keeping your dogs safe and healthy.

6. Allow the concrete to dry thoroughly. Once it is dry, you can make use of your newly poured concrete kennel floor.
