Hoosier Great Dane Club


The Hoosier Great Dane Club is committed to the promotion and encouragement of quality breeding of purebred varieties of great danes. Club members also seek to protect and improve the significance of the breed by supporting sportsmanlike contests at dog shows, along with obedience trial events. Established in 1963 and incorporated in Indianapolis the following year, the Hoosier Great Dane Club urges breeders and members to accept the criterion of the breed as permitted by the American Kennel Club. This is the only model of quality by which Great Danes are judged, particularly in dog shows that highlight their talents, breeding information and health details. The club also conducts sanctioned as well as certified "Specialty Shows and Obedience Trials" under the American Kennel Club rules and regulations.
