Fresh paint Your Kennel Walls

Wooden kennels require painting when the old paint has worn off.

Kennels are commonly used in dog pounds and animal rescue shelters. They are even designed for homeowners with large dogs. These kennels have been built using a variety of items, although the most commonly used is a chain-link fence. Plywood and other wood surfaces have been used to build dog kennels. Painting the wood to match the your home's exterior or garden is a great way to beautify the dog kennel so it doesn't stand out.

Instructions

1. Sand the surface of the wood to remove all splinters and rough spots on the wood. Sanding with an electric sander and 120-grit sand paper will simplify this task.

2. Tape off any surfaces that do not need painted, with blue painter's tape.

3. Paint the entire wood surface using non-toxic paint. Light shades will not attract the heat from the sun's rays. This will prevent the animal from overheating from the extra heat produced by dark colors.
