Port O'Connor, located on Matagorda Bay in Texas, is a prime area for duck hunting and fishing. There are hotels located along the waterway and the Gulf of Mexico coastline to accommodate both tourists and sports enthusiasts. Each hotel has accommodations for boaters, including covered parking, boat washes, and docking areas. Many of the rooms have family and house styles that make guests feel as though they were at home.
The Captain's Quarters
The Captain's Quarters provides two different styles of room: motel and cottage suite. The motel rooms include two queen-size beds, a full bathroom, cable television, and private patio. However, there are special patio motel rooms that also provide a small bar area with a sink, microwave, and mini-fridge. The cottage suites include a queen-size bed and a single set of bunk beds in each bedroom. There is also a living area with a color television, couch, and love seat, as well as a kitchen and dining area that includes a stove, a refrigerator, and a dining table with chairs. Each cottage suite has a private barbecue pit. The cottage suite-style rooms come with single- or two room-options. The Captain's Quarters also provides a swimming pool, dog kennel, a large pavilion with a barbecue pit, and plenty of resort-style parking.

The Inn at Clark's
The Inn at Clark's is located only half a block from the Intercoastal Waterway. The inn is owned and operated by the Clark family, who have lived in Port O'Connor for over 70 years, as of 2010. The inn provides three different types of room: luxury, bunk, and townhouse. There are 18 luxury style rooms with two having walk-in showers to accommodate guests that are physically handicapped. Each luxury room also has two queen-size beds. There are two townhouse-style rooms that have two levels. The upstairs has two bedrooms, each containing two queen-size beds. There is also a large bathroom located upstairs. Downstairs there is a full kitchen, as well as a dining area, living area, and powder room. The Inn at Clark's also provides one bunk room, which contains two queen-size beds and a single set of bunk beds. The inn has 18 covered parking areas for its guests to park their vehicles and boat trailers if they have come for the water.

The Poco Loco Lodge
Located on the Gulf of Mexico, the Poco Loco Lodge is located in a prime area for hunting and fishing. The Poco Loco Lodge's guest rooms provide a multitude of amenities. Each room provides guests with cable television, complimentary beverages and snacks, toiletries, and utensils for rooms that have a kitchen. The grounds themselves contain many outside gas grills and cookers for enjoying the warm weather. For boating guests, the Poco Loco Lodge provides a boat wash with a motor flush. There are several picnic tables on the grounds, adequately shaded by canopies. The Poco Loco Lodge also provides a basketball hoop and ping pong table.
