Large dogs weigh over 45 pounds. Their behaviors depend on the exact dog breed. Not all large dogs are aggressive. Some large dogs are better suited to be around children than others. Because of their size, all large dogs need room to run around. Without room to run, they can become overweight. The purebreds of these dogs can cost anywhere from $300 to $2000. Afghan Hound

Akita Inu

Doberman Pinschers weigh up to 90 pounds. Dobermans tend to be protective of their owners. They need constant attention to prevent aggression. Doberman's need brushed daily.
Great Dane
Great Danes weigh between 100 and 200 pounds. Great Danes get along with children and families well. They need brushed every other day.
Labrador Retriever

Mastiff

Saint Bernard
