Casinos are regulated byt Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB).
Michigan has many legal casinos generating millions of dollars in tax revenue for the state and the cities they are located in as well as economic benefits for surrounding business such as hotels and restaurants. Michigan closely regulates the casinos via the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB). The MGCB oversees all activity from the state's casinos and issues the licenses casinos need to operate.
Instructions
1. Determine where to open the casino. Look at the area and what demand the population in that area might have for a casino business. Consider the surrounding amenities available, such as restaurants and hotels to hold and feed casino patrons. Consider parking and access from highways.
2. Apply for a casino license from the MGCB. The Michigan Gaming Control Board has only provided licenses for three casinos in Detroit and regulates the number of casinos that can be opened elsewhere in the state. Your other option would be to open a casino on an Indian reservation, which is easier to open, but you must be of Indian descent or have those living on the reservation actively involved with the casino.
3. Secure funding for your casino. Most casinos are huge enterprises requiring millions of dollars before they open. Slot machines and gambling tables are a small expense compared to any building costs, employee wages and taxes. You may find investors willing to invest in your casino, but they may want a portion of any profits you make in exchange for their investment. Another option would be to take out personal loans to pay for the starupt costs of your casino if you have the credit to qualify for such funding.
4. Hire and train your employees. Casino employees are generally unskilled workers unless they are in specialty areas such as card-dealing. Employees will need to be paid for training time and will also need uniforms to wear while at work.
