When you need to travel, it can be hard to leave your pet behind. No one wants the added expense that pet sitters or kennels can be. Traveling with your pet can be a lot of fun especially when you are staying near the beach. There are many hotels along the coast of North and South Carolina that will accommodate your pet.
Atlantis Lodge
The Atlantis Lodge is in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. There are many things to see and do around the hotel including eight golf courses, the North Carolina Aquarium, Fort Macon and the North Carolina Maritime Museum. The Atlantis allows pets in all of their efficiencies; however, there is a maximum limit of two pets per room. Your pet must be on a leash when not in the room. There is a pet fee of $15.00 per pet per night. There are three different kinds of efficiencies available. The A-unit has one queen bed and either one queen sleeper couch or two single sleeper couches. The B-unit has two double beds and a queen pull out sofa. The S-unit has one king bed and a Jacuzzi bath. All efficiencies have a stove, refrigerator, microwave, sink and cookware.

La Dolce Vita Villas
La Dolce Vita Villas, which means the sweet life, are located in Cherry Grove Beach, in North Myrtle, South Carolina. Near the hotel there is the Children's museum of South Carolina, the Family Kingdom Amusement Park, and water sports like parasailing, kayak rentals, and boat tours. They have fourteen Mediterranean style villas. Half of the rooms have access to the free wireless internet, so if the is an accommodation you would enjoy mention it when registering. You can choose between a room that has a queen size bed and a futon, or a room with two full size beds and a futon. All rooms have a kitchen with kitchen utensils provided. All rooms are also pet friendly, and there is no pet fee. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times.

Holiday Inn Folly Beach Ocean Front
This Holiday Inn is right on Folly Beach where you can enjoy water sports like kayaking, surfing, kite surfing and jet skiing. There is also a pier right outside the hotel for fishing. The hotel has a heated pool, wireless internet, and oceanfront cocktails. Every room is oceanfront and they allow pets if you pay a nonrefundable fee of $75.00 per room per reservation. There are rooms with a king, two queens, or two full size beds. All rooms come with a coffeemaker, mini-refrigerator and a microwave. If you want a break from the beach you can visit the Morris Island Lighthouse, make the short drive to historic Charleston or go on a plantation tour.
